(Bath, NY) – The laughs will come fast and furious as standup comedians Kenn Kington and John Branyan share the spotlight, March 20-24, for a series of comedy nights where no blushing is warranted for anyone from 8 years of age to 80.
Branyan’s high-energy, laugh-a-minute comedy explores everything from relational dynamics, to the dangers of baby ducklings, to Shakespearian bedtime stories. He’s been featured in nine recorded comedy projects with Christian speakers and entertainers like Ken Davis, Tim Hawkins and David Jeramiah.
“People didn’t invent laughter,” says Branyan. “It was given to us by someone who knew we’d enjoy it.” And he never gets tired of sharing that gift.”
Following Branyan’s performance will be headliner Kenn Kington, known for his surprisingly keen perspectives into marriage, kids, and his famous “family-isms.” Pair these guys together and the audience won’t likely get bored.
“Everyone has a family in some way, shape or form, and we’re all dysfunctional in so many ways,” says Kington. “Everyone can relate. My favorite question after a show is, ‘Were you living in our house?’”
Kenn Kington, who’s been performing for more than 25 years, has been featured on Comedy Central, Laugh USA, and is one of the most popular comics on XM radio. He has written two bestselling books on relationships and records a regular radio show that inspires thousands to experience life to the fullest. “I’ve worked with Kenn several times,” smiles Branyan. “We met at the Christian Comedy Association. Kenn’s not only a funny person, but a genuinely good guy.”
In addition to their friendship, both Kington and Branyan share similar values, have a knack for finding comedy in everyday life, and a track record that proves you can evoke hearty laughter without being crass.
“When there’s no fear of embarrassment, an audience can let their guard down,” says Kington. “That’s when they laugh harder, longer, and freer than any other time.”
