(Bath, NY) – The multi-platinum selling and GRAMMY winning group, Casting Crowns, is set to bring the “Only Jesus” tour to Binghamton, Thursday, Feb. 28, at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Binghamton concert is sponsored by Family Life Ministries of Bath, NY and will feature opening performances from fellow Grammy winner, Zach Williams and Austin French.
The tour arrives behind the release of Casting Crown’s newest studio album of the very same name. The title cut and first radio single, “Only Jesus” is one of the fastest charting songs of 2018 and already a Top 10 hit. The band’s inspiration for the new album came from a conviction that believers have forgotten to focus on Jesus alone in this life.
“I don’t need to be remembered,” shares Casting Crowns’ front man, Mark Hall. “A person can only take you so far. You’ll just walk away thinking. ‘Why can’t I be like that guy?’ But if you do like Paul did and say, ‘Here’s what you need to know about me. I have every kind of struggle and failure in my path. I’ve got nothing going for me. You don’t need to pay attention to me at all. I’ll lead you the wrong way. You need to look to Jesus.’ That’s my reminder that Jesus is the only name to remember!’”
Presented by Compassion International, the tour kicks off Feb. 21 in Richmond, Va., and hits 37 cities before wrapping up in May in College Station, Texas.
With more than 11 million records sold, Casting Crowns has held the position of Billboard’s top-selling act in Christian music since 2007. The band continues to impact audiences with their powerful live shows, having performed for nearly seven million fans and has crossed over a milestone of more than 100,000 child sponsorships generated through Casting Crowns’ concerts.
