We are honored to have Ruth Graham as our Guest Speaker at our 31st Annual Fall Banquet. This is not her first visit to Syracuse, as she graced us with her presence when she spoke at our Banquet in 2001 – right after 9/11. Her words brought comfort and healing to us as we and our entire nation, were grieving over the terrible acts of terrorism that shook our country to the core. And now, 17 years later, it is our privilege to have Ruth back again to bring us the message God has laid on her heart.
“Transparent” is the word most people use to describe Ruth, the founder and President of Ruth Graham Ministries. She is the author of multiple books, including best-selling In Every Pew Sits a Broken Heart (Zondervan), in which she demonstrates her heart for those who face life’s difficult challenges. Her passion is to motivate people by God’s comfort and loving acceptance, from a place of woundedness to a place of wholeness in Christ.
No stranger to heartache herself, Ruth provides a Biblical perspective on her journey of faith. She is warm and articulate as she connects with her audience, talking openly about her own pilgrimage through life’s unexpected heartaches and struggles. As Ruth shares how God’s grace carried her through these times, she inspires those around her to face their most difficult hour.
Ruth is an experienced Bible teacher and conference speaker and ministers to those in the church who are wounded by life, others or self. She is a frequent interview subject in the news media having appeared on Good Morning America, Fox and Friends and the 700 Club. Ruth is the youngest daughter of the Rev. Billy Graham, America’s Preacher, who went home to be with the Lord earlier this year. She has three children and nine grandchildren and makes her home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

About New Hope Family Services:
New Hope’s Pregnancy Resource Center provides young adults with free pregnancy tests, peer counseling and practical assistance when faced with an unplanned pregnancy.
Trained counselors focus on the needs of both the mother and the unborn child and do not exclude either. Counselors emphasize the sanctity and dignity of human life by providing information regarding the growth and development of the unborn child and the inherent dangers of abortion. Our goal is to help each young woman make a good plan for her child – a plan that includes either parenting or adoption.
We are a pregnancy resource center and a New York State authorized adoption agency.
