(Bath, NY) – In the spirit of thanksgiving for all God has given, Family Life gratefully presents its 2nd annual “Chorus of Thanks” in Bath on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Dozens of singers from around the area will join their voices together in a musical celebration of dance, music, and praise. Together with the vocalists, a full orchestra of local musicians will grandly lift musical anthems, worship, and gospel music into the air.
“We do this event to give many local singers, musicians, and artists the opportunity to come together in a praise-type concert,” says Bob Dusek, music director for Family Life. “There’s really no other event around here like it.”
Different from a theater show or musical, the “Chorus of Thanks” is a production not just to watch, but to interact with from an audience perspective.
“We’re inviting everyone who comes to the door to celebrate with us,” continues Dusek. “This isn’t just a concert. It’s a time of worship and praise in an environment where the audience is free to participate.”
Over the past few years, Family Life’s vision to grow its music department has been unfolding with more traveling ensembles, a new children’s choir, choral concerts, and an expanded team of music and dance instructors. The music performances are meant to bring folks from various church traditions together to participate in something much bigger than would normally be available to them.
Anyone interested in joining the “Chorus of Thanks” on stage can do it for free. Choir registration also includes a comp ticket and free refreshments. Register by going to www.fln.org/events.
Tickets to see the concert are $10. Hot beverages and fall desserts will top of the evening. To order tickets, call 800-927-9083 or visit www.fln.org/tickets. Doors open at 6:15 PM and the concert starts at 7:00 PM. Family Life is located at 7634 Campbell Creek Road.
